Britannia Sailing (East Coast)
Charter The East Coast offers the yachtsman an idyllic and unspoilt cruising ground. The Suffolk and Essex coastline with their various creeks and estuaries provide sheltered cruising with a variety of overnight anchorages, all of which remain uncrowded and peaceful throughout the season. Britannia?s base at Shotley Marina near Ipswich has an unrivalled location as one of the only marinas offering you direct access to the open sea complimented by easy access to excellent estuary sailing waters. Our base at Shotley is also ideally placed for those who wish to cruise further afield to the coasts of France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Oostende, with all its gastronomic delights and world famous beers, is only 80 miles from Harwich Harbour. From Shotley crossing to the continent can also be made in easy stages via Ramsgate, which is only 30 miles from Calais. Tuition At Britannia Sailing we run the range of RYA practical courses on the Suffolk Essex coasts, as well as several courses of our own design to meet customer specific requirements. Courses run over either 3 weekends or 5 days (6 days if including the RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster assessment). Weekend courses run from 2000 Friday to 1600 Sunday, and five day courses are from 2000 Sunday to 1600 Friday. One day courses begin at 0900 and finish at 1700 If there are candidates for the RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster assessments then an assessor will come on board at the end of the course replacing the instructor. The duration of the assessment will depend upon the number of candidates as well as the weather conditions, most assessments are completed by early evening on Saturday. You will live on board one of our fully equipped yachts for the duration of the course. With four of five students on each boat, you are ensured a full course with individual attention from the instructor, plus plenty of space and privacy on board. Whatever course you wish to take, all of us at Britannia are confident that we can give you the very best RYA accredited training.

Disco Inferno is a true mini super yacht, the second Bordeaux 60, built by CNB in Bordeaux and designed by Philippe Briand, she was launched in January 2008 and first offered for charter in April 2008. Her fresh modern lines and airy saloon give her the real WOW factor. Accommodating 6 guests in 3 cabins all with their own en-suite shower & toilet. She makes a great cruising boat, air-conditioned throughout and a large cockpit area for outside dining, a collection of toys ringo, 3 person banana, windsurfer with adult & child rigs, plus paddle for Stand-Up Paddle, water-skis, wakeboard, 2 remote control lasers. For a 60foot yacht she is fitted out impeccably, some larger yachts would struggle to match what she has to offer. Then there's the fact that she was designed as a performance cruiser, not only does she deliver as the perfect cruising boat she's also smooth and fast through the water.
