New Wichard luff rope prefeeder : save valuable time around the racecourse
This new product has been designed by Wichard the worldwide specialist in marine hardware and particularly targets regatta sailors.
Thanks to its spring, the jaws of the prefeeder can be opened, releasing the luff tap of the sail from the feeder.
Main benefits: before re-hoisting, the bowman no longer needs to remove the headsail from the luff grove, he just has to open the prefeeder and close it around the luff tape.
This new prefeeder puts an end to expensive retirements due to a genoa permanently jamming in the jaws of a prefeeder and having to be cut away.
The integrated spring also enables the sailor to operate the prefeeder single-handed.
The prefeeder can be installed in any configuration: with a reefing furling system or with a racing foil. In the closed position, it ensures perfect hoisting of the sail.
Easy to use, the prefeeder is hot drop forged and therefore very robust, benefitting from the expertise and know-how gained by Wichard, the world renowned manufacturer of marine hardware.
