Review of The Sailing Bible By J Evans, P Manley and B Smith Books by Practical Boat Owner Feb 2009
The Sailing Bible By J Evans, P Manley and B Smith

Covering everything from gybing to GPS, The Sailing Bible contains everything a newcomer to sailing could possibly need to know. It begins by demonstrating the basics of sailing and rigging dinghies, before moving on to choosing, sailing manoeuvering bigger boats.

Passage planning, navigation, weather, maintenance and safety are then covered in some detail. It's a beautifully designed book, with glossy photos, diagrams and clear text, and a great read whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your skills.

Verdict: A beautifully presented book giving everything you could possibly want to know about sailing and a lot more besides. Great for beginners and for improving your skills.
