Cruising Galicia By Carlos Rojas & Robert Bailey
Beautifully designed, inspiring to read and thoroughly useful, this new pilot is a must for anyone contemplating an extended cruise along the Galician coast or a few forays into its famous rias.
It's a commendable effort, with clear charts, a useful passage-planning section, lyrical descriptions of the various sections of the coast, a wealth of tourist tips and photography worthy of a coffee-table book.
Photos of harbours are labelled, pinpointing the location of moorings, transits, quays, visitors' berths and so on. It's not perfect though - many pictures need captions, in placees the text is annoying glib about average tidal ranges and depths, and a few charts seem illogically cropped.
