Verdict: All in all we're impressed with the HX750E and can see it as a worthy contender to the Icom M33. It would have been nice if a 12V power lead and an Alkaline battery case were included in the base price, but Icom dont include these items as standard either.

Verdict: Safety with numbers - as well as a user-friendly screen and long battery life, if you take an unexpected dip this VHF has a strobe, water temperature gauge and a high-powered speaker to overcome engine noise.
