Anglia Sea Ventures are an Ipswich based company providing RYA Sail and Powerboat Training, Private and Corporate Yacht Charter, Sailing Gift Experiences and Mile Builders on the beautiful East Coast of England.

BAREBOAT & SKIPPERED CHARTER
Our charter fleet comprises two 2007 Bavaria Cruisers in 37 and 42 feet. Available for Day, Weekend, mid-week and 7-day charter.
SAIL TRAINING (TIDAL)
We offer the full range of RYA practical Sailing courses including Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Day Skipper, ICC, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore certificates of competence. Training can be taken either aboard our new training fleet at Ipswich or your own boat.
We also offer bespoke training courses including Flotilla preparation, milebuilding and offshore sailing.
POWERBOAT TRAINING (TIDAL)
We offer a full range of Powerboat training including Level 1, Level 2, ICC, Intermediate and Advanced. Courses can be taken aboard our brand new training RIB or your own powerboat.
SHOREBASED TRAINING
Our shore based courses complement our practical sail and powerboat courses.

Boatability Portsmouth Ltd was started by a group of ex RN Special Forces personnel who have been highly trained in various boat disciplines. These methods have now been professionally adapted to train the leisure boater to a level that will provide them with the much needed confidence when it comes to boat handling, especially when in those dreaded close quarter situations!
At Boatability we offer a variety of services ranging from, RYA courses, specialist boat training, charters, parties, stag and hen do?s, team building, corporate entertainment and lots more.
We are an approved RYA Powerboat Training Centre with courses covering an array of RYA packages, including the very popular RYA Powerboat Level 2 and ICC, as well as shore based courses. For example, RYA VHF, first aid and online training courses. The ICC or ?Boat License? as it?s sometimes referred to is also available. The 10 or 24m ICC can be achieved either by direct assessment, an ICC designated training package or part of an existing RYA powerboat course, the most popular route being the RYA Level 2.
A major advantage we have over most of our competitors is our location; Portsmouth is one of the busiest ports in the world so skills learnt in the classroom are also carried out practically, not just discussed as only some centres can do. With over 60 years experience of cruising and yacht sail training, the ICC is regarded as one of the best places in the UK to learn to sail, and the scenery of the Devon and Cornwall coastline provides a beautiful backdrop and fantastic sailing terrain. While training courses tend to use local waters, we also offer 5 or 7 day cross channel cruises exploring some of the Channel Islands and offering great sailing experience on longer passages. All our cruises begin and end in Salcombe.
Our dedicated training yacht Island Spirit is a Delphia 37 and is perfect for teaching, mile-building and relaxed cruising.
We can accommodate up to 5 guests plus the skipper for RYA courses and mile-building, and more for informal group sailing and day trips. We welcome families, individuals, friends and business groups.
Courses are residential onboard the yacht and prices include food, moorings and fuel.
Our fully trained and experienced RYA Instructors make all of our courses enjoyable, while giving you the best of their knowledge and understanding. Safety is paramount and our equipment and practices are inspected regularly by the MCA and RYA.

| Mike Reeder School of Seamanship |
Mike Reeder, a Master Mariner and RYA Instructor, has successfully trained more than 400 Owners, Captains, Mates and Crew for their
YACHTMASTERS certificates. His dedicated team of instructors arranges courses for the complete beginner through to YACHTMASTER (OCEAN) and the commercial endorsements. The instruction is both practical and/or theory, and the following are also arranged:-
OWN BOAT INSTRUCTION
This is the most popular, and most sensible. If not possible, the school has MCA - coded motor cruisers available.
INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCE (ICC)
This is a very popular course. We train for the Craft up to 24 meters in length. the certificate is required when visiting the coastal waterways of Europe. For the inland waters, the Code European des Voies de la Navigation Interieure (CEVNI) is also needed.
POWERBOAT (RIB) INSTRUCTION
The national powerboat scheme is applicable to Sportsboats, RIBs, Dories, Launches, and other boats which do not normally provide accommodation or cooking facilities.
Courses are arranged for the Levels 1 and 2, Intermediate, and Advanced Certificates.
DIESEL ENGINE INSTRUCTION
A one-day beginners course to help you prevent and solve Diesel engine failure.
RADAR
A one-day course giving you an understanding of radar as an aid to Navigation and Collision Avoidance.
VHF/SRC INSTRUCTION
On how to operate VHF fitted with Digital Selective Calling. A 1-day course which can be arranged in many different places.
CHARTER
We have several motor cruisers available for charter including a 52' Fairline Targa.

Plas Menai is the National Watersports Centre and enjoys a magnificent location on the banks of the Menai Strait, overlooking Anglesey in North Wales. The waters of the Strait are ideal for sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and powerboating with easy access to the open sea and coastal scenery.
Cruise the uncluttered waters around the North Wales and Anglesey Coastline, the Irish Sea, across to the Isle of Man, down the Llyn Peninsular or up to Scotland.

The centre also runs the RYA Dinghy Sailing syllabus from Learn to Sail through to Dinghy and Senior Instructor courses.
Powerboat Courses at the centre include;

Long-term instructors training courses are also available providing a gateway into the watersports industry.
The staff at Plas Menai hold some of the highest technical and coaching awards available and include; RYA Dinghy Coach Assessors, RYA Racing Coaches, RYA Powerboat Trainers, RYA Windsurfing Trainers, RYA Yachtmaster Examiners, BC Level 5 Sea and Inland Coaches, Mountain Instructors with SPA and ML, White Water Rescue Providers and First Aid Trainers.
Our award-winning centre was designed with comfort in mind and retains a friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere. The centre can accommodate up to 67 people and the bedrooms are comfortable with single beds and duvets. Most rooms are twin-bedded, although we do have a few single rooms and some with three or four beds for families and groups. All rooms are en-suite, with fitted wardrobes, tea and coffee making facilities and a television.
