Hamble School of Yachting is the leading independent RYA sea school in the UK, specialising in RYA Sailing, Motor and Powerboat courses. With over 30 years of experience we have a track record for providing high quality tuition to thousands of students. We offer the whole range of RYA courses from Start Yachting to Yachtmaster Ocean. We also run a modular fast track sailing course taking you from beginner to qualified skipper. Alongside these courses we offer a wide range of our own specialist courses such as Yacht Maintenance, Sail Trim and Boat Handling as well as courses for professionals to MCA/STCW standards.

Located within easy reach of London and only 10 minutes from the motorway network, you can soon be sailing down the beautiful River Hamble and straight out into the central Solent providing easy access to Cowes and the varied harbours and creeks of the Solent. Our practical courses are all inclusive with no hidden extras and you will be provided with everything you need including lots of fantastic food, sleeping bags with liners and pillows and quality wet weather gear. Shorebased courses are held in our modern purpose built teaching centre.

Shorebased theory in central Sussex, sailing on the Solent.
Mustang Sailing offer the full range of RYA navigation theory and one-day specialist courses at Ringmer nr Lewes in central Sussex, and all the RYA practical sail courses in the Solent, sailing from Universal Marina on the Hamble.
Mustang offer high quality courses to small groups of students. We restrict course numbers and engage only those instructors capable of delivering courses in an engaging and cordial manner.
We're not running a high volume 'production line', we train individuals, people who know what they want ? quality training, a comfortable atmosphere and a nice setting.
Classrooms in the countryside mean peace and quiet, big boats, nice instructors and only four students to a practical course mean more time hands-on and more learnt.
Our training centre at Ringmer nr Lewes is ideally placed for students in Sussex, Kent and London. Good road and rail links make us easy to get to.
International students flying into the London Airports get here quickly via the rail link to Lewes, only a ten minute taxi ride away from our training centre. Local accommodation is close by and available to suit all tastes and budgets.
Own boat tuition, whether a full RYA course, boat handling or electronics training we can put a great instructor onboard to teach you on your boat, using your kit, from your berth at your convenience.
One to one courses, even at short notice can often be arranged.
An owner-driven business we give unbiased advice freely and can be surprisingly flexible on course dates.

UKSA is a well-established MCA and RYA accredited training centre with 25 years of experience of delivering sailing courses. If you're considering a career in yachting, then we have the training, expertise and advice you need!
Training at UKSA
One of the key things about our training is ensuring that all students get plenty of practical sailing experience in a variety of wind and weather conditions. We believe that it's important to learn in a practical environment and to experience what working in the yachting industry is like.
Both on the water and during theory and shorebased practical sessions, you will gain all the benefits of learning from our skippers and lecturers, who are experts in their field.
If this is your first time living away from home or you want to be able to concentrate on your studies, then our base in Cowes is ideal as food, accommodation, training departments, workshops, lecture rooms and leisure facilities can all be found at our waterfront campus.
UKSA is also in the unique position to be able to offer career students personal mentoring and industry guidance. Throughout your training, you will have access to a mentor who will guide you on what you're doing well and where improvements could be made. The industry guidance team will work with you to develop your sailing CV and interview techniques. Alongside support from the team, you will also be given your own personal login to our exclusive website advertising the latest and best jobs at sea.
