Plas Menai is the National Watersports Centre and enjoys a magnificent location on the banks of the Menai Strait, overlooking Anglesey in North Wales. The waters of the Strait are ideal for sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and powerboating with easy access to the open sea and coastal scenery.
Cruise the uncluttered waters around the North Wales and Anglesey Coastline, the Irish Sea, across to the Isle of Man, down the Llyn Peninsular or up to Scotland.

The centre also runs the RYA Dinghy Sailing syllabus from Learn to Sail through to Dinghy and Senior Instructor courses.
Powerboat Courses at the centre include;
RYA National Powerboat Level 2, Intermediate and Advanced Powerboat Training, Powerboat Instructor and Advanced Powerboat instructor.
Long-term instructors training courses are also available providing a gateway into the watersports industry.
The staff at Plas Menai hold some of the highest technical and coaching awards available and include; RYA Dinghy Coach Assessors, RYA Racing Coaches, RYA Powerboat Trainers, RYA Windsurfing Trainers, RYA Yachtmaster Examiners, BC Level 5 Sea and Inland Coaches, Mountain Instructors with SPA and ML, White Water Rescue Providers and First Aid Trainers.
Our award-winning centre was designed with comfort in mind and retains a friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere. The centre can accommodate up to 67 people and the bedrooms are comfortable with single beds and duvets. Most rooms are twin-bedded, although we do have a few single rooms and some with three or four beds for families and groups. All rooms are en-suite, with fitted wardrobes, tea and coffee making facilities and a television.
